Michael Schaeffer is a serial entrepreneur and has over 15 years of experience in the community and development space. A graduate of Abilene Christian University, he has extensive experience with operations and budgeting, as well as capital structures and partnerships. His prior experience allows him to see the grander vision, while also maintaining a strong attention to detail.
He is currently a Principal Partner with Ironwood Development and prior to that was a co-founder for IWC Texas, an Allen based construction and development company with a focus on public and private construction projects. During his tenure with IWC Texas, the business grew from zero to over $6M in sales before his exit in 2020. Mr. Schaeffer was also a Principal with The Alder Group where he worked in land acquisition, entitlement and development of Senior Independent Living Communities.
Mr. Schaeffer is an active volunteer for All Community Outreach, Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce, Greenville Oaks Church, and the Allen Public Safety and Recovery Board. Michael is passionate about Allen and has been honored to speak at numerous events and to various organizations such as Leadership Allen, the City of Allen Census Committee, the CIP Committee for the Allen Library and the groundbreaking for the Collin College Technical Campus in Allen.
Michael and his wife Dina have three children and have lived in Allen since 1999.
Kristina Holcomb is a proud graduate of Eastern Illinois University and has since gained more than 20 years of extensive experience in the public sector at the local, state and federal levels.
She recently joined the private sector leading Growth and Strategy within the State of Texas for AECOM, a global engineering firm. She is responsible for leading strategic transportation infrastructure and innovative mobility pursuits across Texas. Prior to that time, she served as the Deputy CEO for a local public entity overseeing operations, capital projects, real estate, long-range planning and policy development while fostering a servant leadership culture throughout the agency.
A long-time Allen resident, Holcomb has followed her servant heart through local and regional community involvement with the Allen Community Outreach Development Council, Allen Community Development Corporation Board, North Texas Commission and the American Red Cross. She and her husband, Chad live in Allen and have two sons, one at Allen High School and the other at Texas A&M.
Emad Siddiqi grew up in Allen, Texas and previously served on the Board of Adjustments, Building and Standards Commission and Sign Control Board for the City of Allen. During his time with the Board, he acted in a quasi-judicial capacity to review land use regulation and court orders for enforcement of standards.
With a B.S. from U.T. Dallas and a J.D from OCU School of Law, his background includes data integration, corporate governance and contracts. His primary expertise is in Intellectual Property and he currently works for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He volunteers his time with different community organizations including Allen CERT and local Inventor groups.
Councilmember Daren Meis chose to help support the community by offering his time and talent and bring real-world corporate business experience and was elected to the Allen City Council in 2021. Earning a degree in aviation, Daren graduated from Kansas State University’s aeronautical program in 1991 and continued flying as a flight instructor and charter pilot. He is still active in aviation today.
Daren is a Senior Director of Account Management for a S&P 500 company which provides online vehicle auctions and total loss claim services for the auto insurance industry. He is responsible for negotiating multi-million dollar contracts, while managing National Account Managers with nearly $300MM in annual revenue.
Councilmember Meis is also a Board Member for the Allen Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory Board, Council Liaison for the Finance & Audit Committee.
Brent is an Allen resident and previously served as a Planning & Zoning Commissioner for the City of Allen. He is currently a board member and treasurer for the Twin Creeks Homeowner Association and is involved in several community engagement efforts for Allen ISD.
Brent works as a consultant for management and capital markets and volunteers as a Rotarian through the Rotary Club of Allen Sunrise.
